BioBorn in Birmingham, England in the late Swinging Sixties, raised in Worcestershire, long-term resident of various bits of London, relocated home to lovely leafy Worcestershire in 2007 and miss the City like crazy though I wouldn't swap being with my family for working life there again in a hurry. I worked mainly in adult education - basically as a librarian with a few twiddly bits - for much of my career, and now manage a big fuck-off public library.
